What is your favorite green vegetable?

I am looking for something to serve with a braised chicken dish for a luncheon for our teachers at the pre-school. I will be serving the chicken with orzo and want to pair it with a green veggie. Should I stick with old faithful asparagus, or try something else??

  2. I love sugar snap peas - Kirk doesn't like them, so I constantly crave them. Whatever you have will be wonderful!

  3. okay, i agree with stacie on the spinach, but some of my other faves would have to be sauteed green beans or cucumber salad (w/ mint and feta. i know what you're making, but not sure if they actually "go" with the dish.

  4. OK, spinach is one of my top faves also, but I need something that isn't mush on the plate. I need some consistency. Sugar snap peas may be a good one. I was also thinking brocolini...and I wish I thought people would eat Brussels sprouts b/c they are my fave!!

  5. I agree with Mu - sugar snaps are great - and I remembered seeing this recipe and thought the mint would kick the spring flavor up. http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Sugar-Snap-Peas-with-Mint/Detail.aspx
